Responsibilities

• Primary focus of this position is to use technical skills to put software, systems, and data together in away that extracts meaningful insights from raw data.
• Build data pipelines and analytics models using an array of traditional and modern data tools.
• Working experience and a good understanding of Microsoft’s product stack (Power BI, Azure, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Etc.).
• Collaborate with a team of BI Developers and Data Engineers and help each other learn best practices and new techniques.
• Adaptable - Working for a small tech company means your role will be diverse, and you need to be willing to manage and implement projects from start to finish.
• Enjoy working remotely with occasional meetups and team engagements.
• Great communication skills – Many times as a consultant you’ll need to be client facing, this means presenting to clients, training them on the new dashboards you create and brainstorming with them to understand their needs.

Education & Experience

• Relevant University Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of data warehouse ETL experience.

Skills

We are looking for people who can actively engage with sopshiticated data analytics projects. As a result you must be able to confidently tick all these boxes:

Excellent SQL skills

• Knowledge of indexing and performance tuning.
• Use of common table expressions and temp tables.
• Experience creating stored procedures, functions and views.

Deep knowledge of SSIS

• Praticle experience using checkpoints, configuration, dataflows and control flow.

Data Modelling

• In depth understanding of data warehouse modelling principals incluing the use of dimension, fact and bridge Bridge tables.

Analysis Services & Power BI.

• Advanced report design requiring a knowledge of; interactions, bookmarks, visual customisation and themes.
• Advanced DAX and Power Query .

Analysis & Design

• Highly competent, able to deliver end-to-end data solutions from raw data to dashboard.
• Must already perform a consultative role in your current job: soliciting requirements, articulating design and delivering solution. 

Presentation

• Highly professional and presentable.
• Fluent English.
